Besides machining Vink offers a number of plastics processings including injection moulding. Injection moulding is offered through sub-suppliers.

Introduction

Injection moulding is a rational way of producing middle sized and very larger series os both simple and geometric complex items of thermoplastics. With the right equipment the method is also suitable for heat-treated plastics, elastomers, composites and foamed plastics. Concerning volume injection moulding of thermo plastics is the dominating process and therefore it is the one being most thoroughly described in various literature. It is characteristic that a varity of products can be produced at injection moulding and that the cast items can often be produced in one work process and b used direct with reworking. Some of the smaller items, where the weight of the item is measured in microgramme, are used in wrist watches or hearing aids. Another extremity could be the body of a sailing boat with an item weight above 30 kg. However, these extremities require special machines as the limits for item weights that can be obtained on standard machines, are from approx. 1 g to approx. 15 kg.
