All aboard with Lucite

The shopping malls of the Silja Symphony One, one of the car ferries sailing between Finland and Sweden, were decorated with Lucite sheets for a beautiful, diffused light effect.

Lucite is a plastic material that is perfect for any designer to use. It combines the luxurious look of frosted or matt glass with the trusted characteristics of acrylate. It's strong yet light, easy to shape, insensitive to greasy fingers and multifunctional. The material can be used for display stands and interior fittings, such as furniture and accessories, but is also perfect for ceiling lighting, pillars and display stands, such as the ones on board  the Silja Symphony One. The beautiful, soft light gives the shopping malls of the ship a warm, stylish glow, inside as well as outside.
